The sight,the sounds,the taste,the feel and the smell.all of them differs from what you have in Singapore.Malaysia(i mean the suburb) is a place where it brings the kampung boy in you.It doesn't feel like home but it felt a little different.

The sight
At first glance,you know straight away that the kampung you're living in has been there for years.The timber already loses its colors,the creaking of every door and not forgetting the electric fan that could be as old as my Mum.The seats are made from the finest wood which is why it's been there since the start.The backyard houses chickens and other creatures that even i don't recognize them.The sight was pretty well for me.

The taste
There is a big difference in food between Malaysia and Singapore.The drink taste different, less taste more gas.Chicken less meat because the chicken is from the backyard in other word : fresh.And ketupat.There's more there then here.Enough said.

The sound
Bang!With just one sound you know that you're going to have loads of fun.Magnesium oxide gives color to this beautiful combustion.And the sound is just thrilling.Nothing much nothing less.

The feeling
Floor.That is what came to mind when you're at a kampung.Sleeping on the floor and the only comfort is your pillow.And if you're from Singapore,nasty mosquitos would love to try your delicious foreign blood.I had a few good red little bite marks on the arm and feet which brings me to scratch like a monkey.Damn blood suckers!

The smell
Morning is the best.Fresh air because you're surrounded by trees and the only thing block your nose is the smell of smoke left by the explosions last night.You rarely sneeze there and your brain function better with a good respiration for your body.

Then a cousin went up to me and tells me that he'll be going to Singapore for a visit.
I ask,"Where do you like more,Malaysia or Singapore?" - he's Malaysian and he's 11-

He answered,"Malaysia.Because there's more malays here which means more money for me."

I smile and he continues,"But i like Singapore too,because if you change sing dollars to ringgit,i get double."while counting with his fingers.

Kids sure say the darnest yet smartest things.

I hope that sums up how my Raya went at Malaysia.And if you haven't experience any like mine,you should try it.Seriously.

Back in Singapore.Back to life.

when the lazy gets lazier

I have a very lazy step-dad.He was suppose to paint the house today.Instead he carry on sleeping in his oh-so-comfortable bed.And his bloodline - which is my brother - was also suppose to help me clean the house but he - like his father - slept in the afternoon.He was woken up by my mummy's screaming.He did help for awhile but escape by leaving the house without anyone noticing.Mas Selamat in the making.

In the end it was sister,mummy and i who clean up the house.Mummy make kueh while sister and i look through things that were needed to be thrown.We came across a photo album which was like almost 2 decades old.I see me when i was younger and cuter.And when my daddy was still around.I realize that i was a happy child and was always smiling.Wish i have a scanner to show you guys the picture.

I have two major thing to do later.
1. my audition at Mediacorp
2. my performance at a Japanese school

1. Audition

This audition is for the game show Don't Forget The Lyrics(which is popularize in the states and now Singapore have no originality so they copied it) and i don't know what's going to happen.Am i suppose to sing,wait i'm suppose to but what song?What happen if i get through?I'll be on TV making a fool out of myself not that i'm already am but ya.And should i win some cash prize what will happen next?

Oh questions in my head making me realize how stressful a game show make me feel.
All i need now is luck and support.And a chill pill.

2. Performance

After a long stand still,i'm performing again.It's the remake of what happen last two years but with 3 new guys which are Dinie,Abang and Jia Wei.I have the confidence to perform after a long time.It's going to be a fun one and hope that the crowd love it.Oh,just in case you want to come down and support,it'll be at the Changi Japanese primary school.

How to get there?
You have to drop at Expo MRT station.At the expo, there will be a free shuttle bus service to the school.

Entry fees $2 and we'll be performing about 8.So come down if you're free.

I came to realization that i have not been uploading any of my pictures.I mean you know how my face look like but the amount of pictures of myself have been drastically depleting when i became the photographer.That's my first realization.

My second is posting YouTube videos in my blog.It's like my new addiction.The reason is because i'm bored at home and all i have is YouTube or porn.So i rather stay away from porn so YouTube is my only option.

Rapture was really rapture.The fact was that there was so many ballet performances that you get bored of it.They try to put in flava to spice things up and even uses props to make it more dramatic but i didn't felt the same adrenaline rush as i was at Momentum.SAJC,here's a tip,make ideas and don't try something that you can't do for example hip hop.Leave that to us Republicans.

What i enjoyed the most would be :
-Rugby boys dancing in their sports wear.That is dope.
-Crescent girls did a very good job at amazing the audience with their sharp movements and also synchronization.
-The small kids dancing.Little girls dancing to Hairspray theme and Stronger from Kanye West.While the boys with spikey hairs did Because of You from Ne-Yo and 4 minutes from Madonna.Shiok!
-Lastly,Style Groovaz.You guys were dope.I can say that you guys were the best.You guys better thank me for cheering you.

The Convict:
Ticket should be worth only $12.Cause the performance by the host was kind of off standard.But all and all,guest performances were the best.

Ignite was awesome.Never thought that local bands were very popular.
I only get to watch Plain Sunset which was very good.
Heard there were Caracal and also Electrico performing but i had to go off anyways.

I learn to appreciate them too.I use to listen to only hip hop or R&B music.
Songs that makes you want to dance to.
It was only recently i listen to other types of genres.

Someone told me that music is something you must learn to appreciate.
And being there live makes you learn it better.
That same someone brought me to gigs listening to screamo till my head hurts.
